Because of the nature and importance of our work, The Rosenbauer Law Office, LLC will remain open to continue to serve our clients. Many families have called and asked us to help them prepare their estate plans because they are concerned more than ever about getting their affairs in order. We are committed to serving our clients and assisting them with protecting their families. We are offering consultations and other meetings over the phone when possible, in order to limit exposure.
As a response to the current crisis surrounding the spread of COVID-19, The Rosenbauer Law Office, LLC has implemented new, stricter policies regarding cleaning, sanitization, and social distancing within our office. We are cleaning and disinfecting our entire office daily, and we are disinfecting all "touch points" before and after every single client meeting. We have also suspended hand shakes, offering beverages to our clients, and are limiting the number of in-person meetings per day. We are temporarily closing the office on Fridays as well. We are also limiting staffing to essential personnel only. We are requiring all staff to monitor their health and check their temperatures daily before coming into the office. Finally, we are offering our clients virtual meetings (over the phone or through video conference) whenever possible, in order to further limit exposure.
Regardless of age, net worth, and health, we recommend all adults have AT LEAST the following documents:
- Testamentary Document (Last Will & Testament or Trust) is needed to specify who receives your estate after you pass away and who is in charge of administering your estate.
- Financial Power of Attorney to allow someone to make financial/legal decisions on your behalf if you become incapacitated.
- Health Care Power of Attorney/Living Will Declaration to allow someone to make medical decisions on your behalf if you become incapacitated, as well as state your wishes for artificial life support in end-of-life scenarios.
- HIPAA Authorization to allow your medical providers to disclose your health care information to your decision-makers and family members.
